About Driver BCM43X and logic of update kernel [closed]
Since last November i have uninstalled fedora 25 in my notebook.
I have the network card Wifi BCM43142.
Which I followed the steps of the following post:
https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/ques...
In a kernel update I broke the Wifi connection.
I did not have time, since I had to do some writing, to solve and ask the community. That is why I installed Gnome Ubuntu, which has no problems with the driver of my Wifi.
Now, with time to do the backup and before the new Fedora 26 release, I would try to try it and see if it works for me.
But not to make mistakes, is that I ask the steps that should follow to install Fedora and keep me updated when Fedora 27 and the following:
1) Install GCC and kernel sources
2) Enable rpmfusion free and non-free
3) install the driver package
sudo dnf install akmod-wl
4) Reboot my machine
Question 1: Are steps 1-4 correct?
Question 2: Do I have to execute some command like "akamods", or is it automatic building the Wifi driver?
Question 3: When I leave Fedora 27 do I just have to update the akmod-wl package?
