I have a problem with Fedora 26. I get a blank screen after signing in. What is my problem?
I am a noob. However I had Fedora 25 running successfully for about 5 months when I received the update notice re Fedora 26 so I ran it. Blank screen after signing in.
So I created a LIVE image of Fedora 26 and burned it to a DVD, installed it successfully, rebooted and signed in. Again blank screen after signing in. What now?
Now you have to provide more information about your hardware. Output of inxi -zv4 run from Live system (I assume that when you boot from DVD, you'll have internet connection and working desktop environment) will be a good first step.
Try install xfce... in command line
gpopkey @ozeszty: What is inxi -zv4? How do I set it up? My hardware is Pentium D, 3Ghz, 32 bit, 4 GiM (may be 2 GiM), 2 by 230 GB SATA Drives, no other OS nor data on the drives. I believe my video card is nvidia graphics card but I have no access to the computer to change anything like drivers. I am unable to login as root. I had internet access with Fedora 25 but since my install of F26, I dunno. Without login access to the computer I am stumped.
Sorry, I missed your comment. inxi -zv4 is a command that you have to type in and run in a terminal, it will list details about your hardware. You need to know your root password (you've probably set it up during installation process), though you can always reset it.
Most probably your GPU is having some driver issues, try to login to Xorg session.
