how to install firefox version 17 in fedora 11 ???

trying to install firefox version 17 in fedora 11 to make run adobe animate cc html5 canvas in olpc device version 1.0 or 1.5

You don't mention what you've tried and what happened. I thought there were updates for the OLPC devices to get to newer Fedora versions.

I assume you've tried "yum install firefox" or "yum upgrade firefox". I don't know what which version of Firefox was available at that time.

I recommend not even trying to get such old, non-supported software up and running. It's prone to security issues.

Yum won't work until you adjust the repo files since repos get moved to archive once the release is End-of-Life.

The mirror manager handles that. On older Fedora releases, it redirects yum to the archives, so everything still works.

Maybe a less demanding spin? What are the specs of the OLPC machines? Isn't Sylvia running one of those as well?

But one thing is for sure: no child should run Fedora 11 in 2017.

Do you understand the use cases for those computers? Also, it may be Fedora underneath, but the interface is usually Sugar.
