Menu bar in GNOME Chess and missing features (network game?)

I am using GNOME Chess v3.24.1 and this is how it looks like: (screenshot from help manual)

GNOME chess window

Directly on the same page of the manual, however, in point 2.3., things are described, which I cannot see:

The menu bar, located at the top of the Main Window, contains the following menus:

No, there is no menu bar… The only options I can see are some settings and info box, etc. (The usual things…) And the screenshot on the same help page, shows the same, so things are a bit contradictory here.

In any case it also talks about "Network Game ( Ctrl+L )". Also pressing this shortcut does not work, i.e. nothing happens. The same applies to the 3d mode mentioned in the help. On Wikipedia I could finally read it has been removed, but it is still mentioned in the help file.

So the questions are: Where is the menu bar? Where are these features? How can one start a network game with GNOME chess?

My impression is that the manual is kind of out of date with how gnome-chess works nowadays.

The menu bar is combined into the title bar which is quite common thing in Gnome applications. Most of the functionality described in the manual is still there, but it has moved so the manual text is frankly not very useful right now. You will find some of the features in the title bar buttons and others in the global application menu that Gnome has in the status bar on top of the primary display.

The main thing that I could not find anywhere was those network games. I wonder gnome-chess still actually has that feature.

Thanks for these information. Actually this was also one of my questions. ("How can one start a network game with GNOME chess?") I mean, i've heard that 3d mode has been removed, but what about network games? (Maybe one needs to have another/special engine to be installed?)
