Hi from Portugal

:-)

I have many os (win + linux). I code and run from a usb hdd and no problem.

In fedora 15 i could not code and run from the usb device, only from internal hdd, permission problem.

Can y tell me please if that is now ok with fedora 16, it's realy my favorite Fed16 and it's the only linux that don't work that.

Tks a lot, cheers !

Maybe you can give us more information about your external usb device? It is essential to know which filesystem you use. As i know, a NTFS filesystem cannot be used because this filesystem does not save the execute bitfield. Its simply not possible to make a chmod +x executable (which sounds like your permission problem)
