Is there anything I can do to speed up the loading of the google-drive integration in Files in Fedora? It takes about 20 seconds or more to load the contents, which I cannot afford.

Using Fedora 25 Wayland/Xorg

I ended up with installing https://github.com/odeke-em/drive and creating a couple of nautilus scripts to make it easier. This way I still have to sync manually, but for me it's OK (or at least better than waiting 20 seconds).

Do you mean downloading the contents or just viewing the list of files? Either way, it has to download all the information over the internet, so it's not going to be quick.

It not only does take like 40 seconds for me to load the files. It also loads shared folders in the root folder (making a big mess) and if I just click some other location, when I go back to the Drive folder it loads ALL OVER AGAIN. This is really unusable, why would somebody use this system over the web app?
