Switching Win Vista to Linux, backups on ext. hdd's, do I need to recopy?
hello all, I am considering switching from Win Vista to a Linux distro. All my data is backed up on external usb hard disc drives. Can I just plug them back in after the switch. Do I need to double copy everything and then reformat the hdd's?
What do you mean by "double copy"? Reformat?
One thing you need to do is to reformat your external HDD to a Linux file system (ext4 for example) in order to be able to store future Fedora backups on it.
