I need VMware Workstation Pro 12 (latest) to work on Fedora 26 release candidate. It can't build its kernel modules without GCC 7.0, but it has GCC 7.1. VMware refuses to build the kernel modules with this version of GCC.

I could install GCC 7.0 from source with the version as a suffix as advised for running multiple versions in the GCC FAQ. However, there might be an easier way to have GCC 7.0 on my system. If there is, what is it?
