Support of Fedora 25 Lxde in IBM thinkpad T42

HI, Is Fedora 25 Lxde supported in IBM thinkpad ?I have tried Fedora 25 Workstation but it fails to install in this laptop.Later I found out that kernal 4.x is not supported in IBM thinkpad laptops.So,I am just confused will Fedora 25 Lxde support here?

if regular fedora 25 workstation fails to install or is not supported on that laptop then LXDE will fail also. LXDE is just a different desktop environment.

thanks then which version of fedora do you think would support in this laptop?

I'm not sure. You should start with other versions and see what works. Try like fedora 22 then 23 and see.
