Im using Fedora 14 but I dont know how to properly install my webcam. Ive looked into Google about this topic and I noticed installing Video4Linux application may my webcam works.

The main problem is that my webcam is recognized by applications like Cheeze but Firefox, Skype, emesene neither Google Chrome recognaized it. How can I solve this?

Thank you!

To start with, I suggest using F16. With new, up to date packages and a more up to date kernel, webcam support has improved a lot since F14.

If cheese is seeing your webcam, it's working properly. I don't know why firefox etc aren't seeing it. For skype, you may need to modify some video configurations etc.
