How do I install the aacs lib. for vlc player in fedora 25? [closed]
I have vlc player already installed. I also have the libaacs file downloaded but not extracted. I also have the videolan rpm packages installed. Oh, and I just installed Fedora 25 yeaterday, and am a novice to linux. I am not a novice to computers, just linux and fedora 25. How do I install the libaacs file to where it needs to go. One page on the net said, in needs to go in the vlc directory. One said, use the default package manager to extract and install it.(Whatever that is!) I'm so new to fedora 25, I can't tell you what program that is!!!!!!!!! lol Will someone please explain how to install that file, before I kill this computer!!!! lol
You should install rpmfusion.org and install vlc from there, that will add all libraries you need and codecs.
I already have the rpmfusion files installed. It gives the same error message need libaacs
Thanks aeperezt for your replys, but nothing works. I guess I just won't watch DVD or Blueray on fedora 25. Everything else works great and I love the linux environment. But If I can't escape from reality a couple of times a week with a DVD or Blueray, I'll be going back to Windows. At least there, all I have to do is put the disc in and press play!!!!!
I just installed libaacs using aeperezt's suggested command and it worked fine. What is the error you are getting?
I installed libaacs just fine. Now I get another error message. Here it is. No valid processing key found in AACS config file. What now???????? Another hoop to jump through! LOL Where do I get that?
