So what kernel do you need and why?

dnf list kernel:

  • kernel.x86_64 4.9.17-100.fc24 @updates
  • kernel.x86_64 4.10.6-100.fc24 @updates
  • kernel.x86_64 4.10.8-100.fc24 @updates

If you need for some reason a newer kernel not yet in stable you can try enabling updates-testing i.e. dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing list kernel. I can see 4.10.9-100.fc24 is in testing right now.

See the list of the most recent kernels available in Fedora's repo:

How to upgrade Fedora 24 to Fedora 25. Includes the latest stable kernel. If you’re sticking with old software then what you get is old software.

Fedora 24 is fully supported and it will be for one month after Fedora 26 is out. My kernel is 4.10.8-100.fc24.x86_64

Moreover, the newest kernel available for Fedora 25 is exactly the same as for Fedora 24.
