I recently elected to install Fedora 25 on my laptop, it's prior OS was windows and the sound did work. However once I installed Fedora, sound no longer emits from my speakers. I've verified the system is not muted, and that volume is turned up. Any suggestions how to get my speakers working with Fedora? (I tried updating everything with Fedora, but it didn't work)

Which sound card are you using, the analog or the hdmi? Have you looked at the sound settings in the control center of the desktop software? do the devices show up there, and does it allow you to configure it?

Welcome to ask.fedora. This is a fairly common question, here, but alas, there isn't One True Answer. Try opening your Audio Mixer, pavucontrol and click on Output Devices. The Port selected will probably be Line Out, and there should be a hardware device listed above. Mine is Built-in Audio Analog Stereo; what does yours say?
