My Laptop I/O gets Overloaded Too Easily - 25/Gnome
I've got a DELL Inspiron 5520 c 2012. It's a quad core with supposedly good hardware. When running I/O intensive apps, my DE gets slow and unresponsive and often crashes due to I/O overload, backlog, timeout etc. Is there anything I can do to speedup, streamline I/O under load. I suppose, I could put another Hybrid SSD in the DVD bay and configure RAID 0; but since the SATA bus is only capable of 600MB/s, I'm not sure this will even help.
