Ok! so I'm operating. Linux Rosa 3.19.0-32-generic #37 ~ 14.04.1-Ubuntu with multiple environments GNOME, GNOME Classic, Ubuntu and Xfce Session for my options Xfce Session is my default.
I was so happy to find out that I didn't need to run a cat cable, or setup any partitions etc. guess that will come when I start making *the three recovery disks 1.Boot Disk, 2.Root Disk, and 3.Utility Disk *. Not meaning to get ahead of my self.
- The downloading the ios image file to my Downloads folder while on line with Wi-Fi service.
- While off-line I attempted to write the files to the Flash Drive knowing I had plenty storage space on the drive. Using the Ubuntu image writer went off without a hitch.
- Restarted the machine and Fedora started doing it's thing! * Fedora desktop {liveuser@locoalhost-live -}$ Then that's when it got confusing: The Network connections toll, IP address, Maskaddress, Vpn1 Vpn4 Vpn6etc
I was hoping I could plug the information that was showing on my smart phone when it connects the corresponding IP address, URl, mask, etc.. no such luck!
So I'm Google researching: https://access.redhat.com/documentati...HatEnterpriseLinux/6/html/DeploymentGuide/s1-networkscripts-interfaces.html
Resarching RedHat
{ ifig <name of the device that the configuration file controls> }
ifig eth0 the most common interface file is
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0,
which controls the first Ethernet network interface card or NIC in the system
hoping this workstation has a fixed IP address.

I've had the pleasure of assisting with recycling work on other machines. Once I had issues working on a windows machine that would no longer recognize the windows 11 user accounts. The owner finally requested reinstallation of Windows 7 he is now happy with the new system. This experience showed me the importance of usernames and how they can slow efforts down if the repairs are being made by other than the owner. I would like to work without passwords ...
So far, I like you question. Can't wait for it to be continued. Awesome, especially the part about the Windows 11 user accounts.
Hey, for your network connection, I'd first try automatic IP assignment (DHCP)...
Whatever, thumbs and karma up!
