I'm using a stock Intel graphics (Intel HD Graphis 630, the CPU is an Intel Core Xeon E3-1505M v6, so it's not related to double GPU or nvidia drivers. (What I've seen as the cause of "fedora is falling back to x11".)

Is there a script I can run that explains why it is falling back to x11? I have another issue with resuming from suspend (the screen stays black, although the keyboard is lightening up), and I wanted to see if switching to wayland fixed it.

What is the model of the Intel graphics card?

@IcyBox Usually the "Intel HD Graphics 630" is a reference for an integrated GPU on the CPU it self, @Florian Margaine It will be helpfull, in case there is a GPU related issue, to provide the exact model of your CPU.

Have you tried to inspect the journal log?

$ journalctl -ab --no-pager | grep wayland
