Why does netinstall use outdated packages ?!?

Hello all,

I recently installed F25 using the netinstall image. I specifically opted for this way as I expected the installer to automatically download the latest versions of packages, thus saving me the hassle of having to download one month's worth of updates.

Installation went smooth and quick. But imagine my surprise when after booting up the system for the first time and Software reported almost 700 MB of updates pending installation!

What is the point of netinstall then, if it uses outdated packages? Even so, can't a "download updates while installing" option be implemented?

Cheers S.

I've had this once too but not in other cases. I could be wrong but I think it really is due to coincidence where some mirror was being updated while you were installing.

Did you uncheck the option in the mirror settings of the installer where it says do not update packages to the newest available version?
