Open System Settings: Online Accounts: and add your Google account. GNOME Calendar, California, Contacts, Documents, and other GNOME core apps will populate with data from Google. You can add other CalDAV/CardDAV servers as well using the interface for doing so inside the Evolution email client (it’s the back-end for much of this).
