Actually, there is a huge difference between f14 and f19, mainly gnome2 vs gnome3. The question is:
- Is VNC generally slow when transferring gnome3 or other composited desktops?
- Or is there something we can fix?
Testing this question is possible by trying a different (lighter) desktop environment for instance MATE, and see if it changes. Or wait for other users to share their VNC+gnome3 experience.
Also, you may want to consider switching to NX-nomachine (or freenx) instead of VNC, they have a pretty smart protocol which is very fast.
