Enable rpmfusion repositories and install all needed codecs

dnf install gstreamer1-{ffmpeg,libav,plugins-{good,ugly,bad{,-free,-nonfree}}} --setopt=strict=0

then try again. I assume you already have players like totem, mplayer and so on.
