I doubt you will find a significant difference in graphics or graphics performance across distros.

There is a bit of a learning curve as you transition to linux and once you are familiar with fedora it is as easy as any other distro.

With fedora you will likely want to use third party repos for multimedia https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Third_party_repositories

I personally use rpmfusion

I suggest you research the differences between distros try a few and then decide. Linux mint, for example, is a popular alternative to ubuntu and you may want a LTS release so do your homework first.
