Another fun way is to experiment with other shells (other than Bash). I really enjoy Fish personally; and use if for my default shell. Zsh is getting a lot of love lately with some fancy scripts and themes just for it. Learning the differences between different shells is very enlightening and you may discover things you didn't know you were looking for.
