I am placingf ythis is an anser as there is not enought space allocated in teh comment, which is where it should go.

Sometimes those how to's are incomplete. So wrote my own. Follow them and let us lnow if anything goes wrong (error messages and such):

How to upgrade Fedora Core (FC) 25/26 to FC27:

Note: as of FC24, Fedup is dead, it's been replaced by

 dnf-plugin-system-upgrade package

rpm --rebuilddb

rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

if anything is too new, do a # dnf downgrade offender(s)

dnf update --refresh

dnf install python3-dnf-plugin-system-upgrade

dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=27 --allowerasing

dnf clean packages <-- optional

dnf system-upgrade reboot
