The workaround described under https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1398871#c1 should work
sudo dnf group install 'Fedora Workstation'
(it will mark all packages from group 'Fedora Workstation' as installed)
remove KDE by running dnf remove @kde-desktop
